About The QUIDNUNC
The web lets magazines down. This is an attempt to put that right.

Magazines are special things, but the web has let them down. A magazine is more than a load of links, more than a bunch of unrelated stories, and more than just another website. The web just hasn't understand what makes a magazine a magazine.
In his recent book MAGAZINE, digital guru Jeff Jarvis nailed it.
We at Harpoon Productions have been producing web reports, stories and microsites for our clients for more than five years, mostly on the Shorthand platform, which we think is like a machine for engagement.
There is simply no better tool for efficiently producing web content which keeps readers engaged and for ages we have wanted to build complete magazines on Shorthand, to make the most of that exquisitely contained scarcity of space.
Over the past year we've been building Harpoon's Digital Editions, a new way to craft magazines on the rock-solid architecture that Shorthand offers.
You'll have seen The Quidnunc feels different from a website – and hopefully you might have felt that it offered something of the joyful experience that a good print magazine can be.
We're only just starting with Harpoon's Digital Editions. In the coming months we're going to be offering new formats, new features, new ways of content that demands to be engaged with. If you want to come along with us, please get in touch here.
But if you want to know what a quidnunc is, here's looking at you.
